10 Years of UKO Technik GmbH – A Salzburg success story with a future

What began in 2016 with the founding of an independent company has developed within a decade into one of the leading providers of vending machines and intelligent microshop solutions in Austria. Today, the company serves customers throughout Austria and increasingly in Southern Germany as well.

From Tradition to Specialization

The roots of UKO Technik GmbH go back more than 50 years. In the early 1970s, Hermann Unterkofler laid the foundation for today's corporate group by trading in vending machines. Over the decades, this evolved into Automaten Unterkofler GmbH, which bundled both the vending machine business and real estate activities.

With the strategic realignment in 2016, the business areas were separated: the vending machine business was transferred to the newly founded UKO Technik GmbH as part of a corporate spin-off, while the real estate activities were continued under UKO Estate GmbH . This created the foundation for consistent specialization and the successful growth trajectory of the past ten years.

Today, UKO Technik GmbH is a wholly owned subsidiary of UKO Microshops AG and, as an innovation leader, continues to drive the development of modern, automated retail solutions.
